OSCAR Fehlberg calls the delivery bike he designed EsCargo, French for “snail”, but it is anything but slow.

The industrial design student at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia said his EsCargo is an agile solution that augments localised delivery, but has the range to ride across town.

An electric motor, big battery pack and unique, cable- operated double-knuckle steering handling allow the delivery bike to cut through congestion.

The strong ladder frame can handle loads up to 200 kg and the design easily adapts to suit many jobs, whether it be delivering mail, consumer goods or fresh foods. — WR.
