Rid­ing high in China

The Duge Bridge, which is be­ing con­structed 565 m above the Nizhu River Canyon on the bor­der between Yun­nan and Guizhouin prov­inces of China, is set to be­come the world’s high­est bridge, a record held since 2009 by the 496-me­tres-high Sidu River Bridge in China’s Hubei Province. China’s Beipan River Shuibai Rail­way Bridge is the world’s high­est rail­way bridge at 275 m. The Mil­lau Viaduct in France re­mains the world’s tallest bridge, mea­sur­ing 343 m from its low­est rivet to its high­est point. PHOTO: HIGHESTBRIDGES.COM
