Junior Enduro track now in the Big Five events in KZN

SATURDAY sees Powasol hosting the first of this year’s Big Five Extreme Enduros.

Serious riders are encouraged to enter the Gold class, but those just testing their riding skills should enter the Silver class and for a day of fine riding go for Bronze.

The great news is that Powasol will be including a Junior Enduro track at their Big Five events.

This will allow junior riders the opportunity to hone their enduro technical riding skills.

These events will form the KZN Junior Enduro Championship. The course will be a short course of a maximum of 14 km but probably around eight kilometres and will take 30 minutes or more to ride. It is going to be technical, so for the less experienced riders, dads will ride as chaperones.

The KZN racing committee members and junior parents will work with the Powasol Course Setters to create this Enduro track for the 65/85 cc riders.

Bulwer Bash is next

The first weekend in March is the next KZN Racing event — the Bulwer Bash.

The pits are at the Nip Inn and the course travels around, under and over the beautiful Bulwer area. We are again collecting stationery for the local school, as a sign of our appreciation.

We thank the local community for allowing us to ride on their land. Riders and fans are asked to please plunder their stationery cupboards, speak to the boss at work, or bring a donation of stationery with you to the race. You will need to hand this in at registration. A cash donation will also be accepted.

All veteran riders

A reminder to all riders over 50 — you need to undergo a stress ECG and submit this report to Rashaad at MSA rashaad@motorpsort.co.za when applying for your licence. This stress ECG will need to be submitted with your WOW application, either before, to Carmen, or on the day at registration.

Environmats are available at Hazclean — speak to Khanya on 083 392 4589.

Scrutineering form attached — don’t tick it if you ain’t got it.
