POOR EXECUTION AGAINST CLIFTON COSTS COLLEGE BOYS

The Witness - - HORSE RACING -

CLIFTON took on Maritzburg College in a T20 clash on the weekend.

Clifton won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 122/5 in their 20 overs. College bowling was aggressive and accurate up front with Hollaway and Gengen hitting their straps early on, but towards the end of the powerplay and at the death, the bowlers let themselves down with poor execution.

A couple of run outs and a few decisions made a significant difference to the overall total.

M Khumalo was yet again the pick of the bowlers.

College started their innings well with J Campbell leading the charge and the home side looked set to take it to the wire. The senior batsman however, did not take responsibility and this led to College’s demise. College ended 16 runs shy.
