Ignoring red lights is a common practice

The Witness - - OPINION -

I READ with great interest and astonishment the report in The Witness of November 11.

Where has our Msunduzi Municipality spokesperson been hiding?

It is a wellknown fact that vehicles speed through red traffic lights!

This has been an ongoing practice for years now. I find it difficult to believe that our traffic officers are deployed at schools helping pupils cross the roads

next to their schools, as quoted in The Witness.

Thobeka Mafumbatha stated that “as soon as it is reported, the municipality will do something about it”.

Well, Thobeka Mafumbatha, please, before someone is killed, do something about this, as well as the trucks that park illegally in Hesketh Drive and block the road. M. DE KLERK Hayfields
