The Witness - - OPINION - LYNNE BROOK Hayfields Pietermaritzburg

IT’S the usual cul de sac — a complaint by thousands that goes round and round and ends up nowhere.

Many of us complain about the loud bangs of the fire crackers. Yet again, like thousands of others, we brought our dog inside on Wednesday night.

Matrics and others have to learn for exams, folks have to go to work, MediClinic, St Anne’s Hospital and step-down facility patients are not immune to the din.

Heavens, can’t the authorities crack down on the use of all loud firecrackers once and for all?
