Forget first-class seats: several commercial airlines are upping the ante in terms of comfort and luxury. Etihad is the first commercial passenger jet to offer private, multi-room cabins complete with a living room, a double bedroom and a separate en-suite shower room, as well as your very own Savoy-trained butler.
Singapore Airlines recently introduced new luxury cabins to its Airbus A380 fleet, which are all fitted with a double bed, a leather chair, a 32” TV monitor, a full-sized wardrobe and an amenities box. Meanwhile, Emirates’ First Class private suites offer you 3,7m2 of personal space with mood lighting, high-tech control panels and virtual windows. Talk about flying high!
