HLAMALANI LEE-ANNE MAGEZA

Age: 34 Occupation: Data Capturer and BCom Student “This makeover was much-needed because I’ve often been mistaken for a man. I wouldn’t even be shocked when people called me bhuti. I have short hair, and I like wearing caps, baggy jeans and loose T-shirts. I wanted to feel like the beautiful woman that I am. Thanks to this makeover, I feel brandnew. My confidence is sky high – I’m ready to take on the world!”

MAKE-UP

“I told Lee-Anne about using concealer as the secret weapon to hide her blemishes. I applied Black Opal foundation to give her a youthful look, with natural eyeshadow on her eyes to highlight her brown eyes, and shaped her brows. To complete the look, I used a gold bronzer on her cheeks and topped it off with glossy purple lipstick,” says make-up artist Faith Seuoe.

HAIR

“Lee-Anne is used to the wig life but I decided to get her out of her comfort zone and go for an ombre colour. I curled it to give it that youthful vibe,” says hairstylist Liyanda.
