NZIMA OUTLINES KEY LESSONS THAT GOT HER AHEAD IN HER CAREER

True Love - - WOMAN ON TOP -

Know yourself and your capabilities. I came into the SABC without any assumptions. I was a blank canvas and promised myself I’d always be open to learn.

My truth has stood me in good stead. I’m a silent rebel and will always stand up for something when I know it’s the right thing to do. I’ve never been coerced into doing anything I don’t agree with.

It’s not always about you. I learnt quite early on it was about the audience and not what I liked.

Never assume to know it all.

I still take advice from others, and reject rigidity. Always view someone who knows more than you as your greatest resource. Learn to listen. Being a leader has made me a great listener. Always plan ahead. I keep a diary to stay on top of things.
