The Biblical tale of Noah, his life-saving Ark and his relationship with God is brought to the bigscreen (and now your TV). Why it’s okay: Darren Aronofsky (2000’s Requiem For A Dream and 2010’s Black Swan) is directing Oscar-winners Russell Crowe (Noah), Sir Anthony Hopkins (Methuselah) and Jennifer Connelly (as Noah’s wife Naameh), so it’s going to be mindblowing, right? Er… it’s a good movie, don’t get us wrong. But there’s a lot missing – like Noah has drug-induced visions rather than God giving him the Ark dimensions, we don’t see the Ark being built from scratch and since when did fallen angels build most of the Ark? You’ll be left wanting.
