when season 1 kicked off in the states in 2000, sabc grabbed the series just five months later. the gap between seasons soon increased and by season 15 in 2009, the sabc was already two years behind the us dates. this was largely due to various schedule changes and interruptions over the years. “sabc started late with the series and we always have a waiting period with pay channels,” sabc3’s publicist doulha domingo explains. “sabc unfortunately cannot skip seasons to catch up on the most recent as we only have one channel and slot for the show.” nb! see more on p11.
