it’s time for some serious change and that’s exactly what e.tv’s doing. the freeto-air channel is giving its primetime slot a dramatic overhaul and from monday 2 march, the evening lineup will look a lot different. from a newly added zulu news bulletin at 18:30 to brand-new local dramas, e.tv’s giving us more local content than ever.

the most dramatic slot change is rhythm city’s move from 18:30 to 19:00. this means the english news also finds itself a new home at 20:30 on weeknights, while it still remains in the 19:00 slot over weekends.

another highlight is the addition of e.tv’s first telenovela, ashes to ashes. this 104-episode series will delve into the world of the funeral parlour industry and the various relationships within it. former generations actor patrick shai will take on the leading role, with more stars being announced soon. meanwhile, there’s a shakeup at 18:00 – talkshow katch it with khanyi stays put on mondays, eksê loses a day and airs on tuesdays and wednesdays so that e.tv can introduce a new gossip show on thursdays. plus, club 808 is rebranding and moving to fridays at 18:00.

season 2 of the steve harvey show takes cancelled queen latifah’s 16:30 slot, followed by an international sitcom at 17:30 on weekdays. here’s a quick breakdown of what e.tv will look like…
