british-born daniel sharman, who plays werewolf isaac lahey in season 2 of teen wolf (2011-current) and kaleb in season 2 of the originals (2013-current), is finally living his american dream – he always wanted to be american. “as a kid i dreamt about the us and when i was eight, i tried to convince my teacher i was american”. now living in the us, he’s missing certain things from his home country…
…like chocolates. he says that us chocolates “are horrible”. …and soccer, of course. his favourite team is arsenal. living in la, daniel now plays soccer with fellow brits like stephen moyer (bill compton from true blood, 2008-2014). he drove on the wrong side of the road the first time that he drove in the states. “luckily it was a quiet stretch of road,” he admits sheepishly. one of daniel’s most memorable roles was being cast to play both a man and a woman in the movie the beauty of sharks (2015) with bill nighy, sharon stone and faye dunaway. “i look pretty good as a woman,” he laughs. as a kid, he had a weird celebrity crush on “april from the cartoon teenage mutant ninja turtles”. speaking of weird, he believes in aliens and thinks the idea that we are the only beings in the universe is silly. the 28-year-old has a tattoo on his left leg: the letters hs, which are the initials of his younger brother hugh. speaking of tattoos, he once played a prank on the teen wolf cast by pitching up on set with a huge fake tattoo on his left arm of the character opie from sons of anarchy (2008-2014). daniel dated fellow teen wolf star crystal reed (allison argent) from 2012 to 2013, when he broke up with her. he was spotted a couple of times in 2014 with model gigi hadid.
daniel sharman brings a prim and proper british feel to tv werewolves.
