Drop it like it’s not hot

Nothing is more annoying than seeing your fave show getting yanked from the line-up.

Hi tvplus. Wasn’t Arrow supposed to start already on SABC3? – LIZETTE SMIT, STRAND

Arrow was due to start on Tuesday 5 May at 19:30, but now the channel has backtracked on their decision. We’re told by reliable sources at SABC3 that the channel only realised at a late stage that the series’s 16 age restriction won’t fit the 19:30 timeslot. “The show is in the watershed slot, family viewing time, which ends at 20:00,” an insider tells us. It’s only after 20:00 that shows with age restrictions of 16 and higher can be aired.

And SABC3 isn’t the only channel facing this problem. M-Net Edge tells us that they had to pull the second-half of Outlander’s first season due to mature content. The series was set to return to local screens on Friday 7 May. Outlander will now be replaced with the second season of Reign. At print, SABC3 could not confirm what show will be airing in Arrow’s place.

Free TV’s missing out on Stephen Amell and

his pals in Arrow.
