Ed’s Letter

TV Plus (South Africa) - - YOU ASK -

Yes, it happened! It took a couple of months, but Generations – The Legacy is the most-watched soap in SA again, with more than 6 million viewers. Amazing! We had no idea last year when the soap stopped production if they’d ever top the ratings charts again, but the newly revamped soapie has won me over (and I loved the old one). But with Lucy suspecting that Namhla may be pregnant (p11) and Tshidi slipping Gadaffi a potion to dull his sex drive (p10), it’s clear why audiences are tuning in. Speaking of love potions, in Muvhango, Matshidiso uses muti to accomplish the opposite – getting pregnant with the chief’s baby on p13. I hope it happens – I’d love to see a little baby Azwindini. PS: Since we’re not waiting for snail mail for blockbuster entries, we’re giving solutions sooner after publication. From next issue, we will play catch up so you don’t have to wait months to find out if you filled in the puzzles correctly. Keep those SMSes coming!
