Thembeka reveals one huge secret to Quinton but conceals another at the same time. Quinton warns Layla not to mess with Thembeka’s pregnancy, and Thembeka leaves town to take care of her “sick granny”. Lucas’s old ally Vermeulen (Eduard Horn) is swept into Hector’s plot to frame the Nyathis with contraband items. Layla tries to convince Hector that she’s not that close to Lucas – too bad a little birdie’s told him otherwise. Vermeulen plants something expensive and incriminating at NFH, but thanks to Dintle and Gloria, Hector’s plot doesn’t work out the way he intended. Sisterly feelings are bruised when the Ngemas make Omphile act as Lindiwe’s new chaperone, while Mar i’s shocked when Lindiwe reveals her plans to lose her virginity. Meanwhile, Gloria’s romantic meddling leads to Ingrid flirting with Stokkies.
MARCH: PUT A RING ON IT
An NFH big-wig is arrested thanks to Hector and Vermeulen, but Hector’s left to clean up a mess to stop an innocent man from being caught in his web. One Nyathi couple is forced to move in with Eddie, and Dintle spots a new sugar daddy to seduce. Omphile and Mary find out that Kabza is using Lindiwe as a side chick. Cameron confesses his secret agenda to Ingrid, and Ndu considers making an honest woman of Gontse. Phehello (Mothusi Magano) asks to see Anzani in exchange for information on where the bodies are buried (literally), but Lerumo’s unease grows following a suicide that he believes is more than it seems. Grace wants to set up house with Lucas – until she gets news about a family member – and Lucas asks Eddie to investigate Hector.
APRIL: BULLETS & HANDCUFFS
Lerumo’s suspended from the police force and Anzani questions his sanity… until a shooting incident ends in death. Ndu and Gloria try to help with Gontse’s business after her partner scams her. Lucas takes a shine to Grace’s shady son Romeo (Hungani Ndlovu), and Mangi finds a photo of Hector and Naledi together. Scelo fancies sexy cougar Phumla (the role hasn’t been cast yet), who’s looking for hot models and hiding a husband, while Mary develops feelings for Scelo. Later, Thembeka tries to weasel out of any blame for Vuyo’s death, but there’s a set of handcuffs in her future.
