GlowTV is closing down at the end of June, but what about its shows?
Hi tvplus. I read about GlowTV cancelling their shows. So what is going to happen to This Is Love? Are they going to move it somewhere else or is it going to be cancelled on DStv also? – ALBERT, VIA EMAIL
This Is Love (2013- current) started on GlowTV on 2 May this year (across DStv, OpenView HD and StarSat) and as the series runs to around 800 episodes, it’s not going to finish before the channel goes dark on all platforms due to high programming costs on Thursday 30 June 2016. Glow has noted that its programmes, including This Is Love (or Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, its Indian name), will unfortunately not be transferred to other channels. We know that it’s no substitute, but if you simply have to tie up those loose ends after 30 June, you’ll be able to find all the details on the show’s wikipedia page. The change will also affect tvplus’s TV schedules (see more from p44 to 71), so from Friday 1 July, we’ll be adding FOX (DStv channel 125) – home of series like Empire (2015- current), The Walking Dead (2010- current), The Simpsons (1989- current) and Fresh Off The Boat (2015- current) – to our guides. From June, FOX has been made available to DStv Compact subscribers, giving them even more viewing.
