Bishop Charles Ellis (58) has hosted historical events, most notably, the funeral of civil rights icon Rosa Parks. He’s also featured on the front pages of both The New York Times and Wall Street Journal for his prolific sermons. Bishop Corletta Vaughn (63) became a preacher despite opposition from some in her congregation. And while she has broken gender barriers, she struggles to balance her 40-year dedication to the church with her long-distance marriage to Dr Gilbert Vaughn. Pastor Tom Alden is a 50-yearold virgin who’s moved his ministry from LA back to his hometown. Being back has been an emotional struggle and with the help of his adoptive family, he’s also developing a pop-up church. Pastor-elect Clarence Langston (40) is a young upstart who began his journey into ministry at just 20. His controversial approach and brutal honesty make it clear that he’s not here to find friends. Pastor Don Shelby (51) and his wife Bonita extend their worship to the music industry through The Shelby 5, their family gospel group comprising of their five kids. All of them are expected to remain pure and stay at home until marriage, but will rising recognition put those values in jeopardy? Grammy-winning singer Dorinda Clark-Cole (59) has performed solo for US First Lady Michelle Obama and she has a successful career with gospel group The Clark Sisters. Besides preaching all over the world, she also has a radio show and a clothing line. Philosopher, musician and eligible bachelor Pastor David Bullock (38) is a sensation, thanks to his opinionated nature. He’s run for office but mixing politics and religion could be tricky.
