Morals are the name of the game in sin­gle-sea­son crime drama Pub­lic Morals (2015). Of­fi­cers Mul­doon and Bull­man (Ed­ward Burns and Michael Ra­pa­port) head up the New York po­lice depart­ment’s Pub­lic Morals Di­vi­sion as they try clean up the city’s vice crimes, like pros­ti­tu­tion, or­gan­ised crime and any­thing else deemed im­moral.

Ed­ward, who dou­bles as the show cre­ator, writer, di­rec­tor and ex­ec­u­tive pro­ducer, says that it was a labour of love putting it to­gether and a big part of him is in­vested in the show, thanks to his dad Ed Burns Sr’s job as a cop. “A lot of the stuff you’ll see, it’s my mem­o­ries of what it was like to grow up in a cop house,” he says.
