Morals are the name of the game in single-season crime drama Public Morals (2015). Officers Muldoon and Bullman (Edward Burns and Michael Rapaport) head up the New York police department’s Public Morals Division as they try clean up the city’s vice crimes, like prostitution, organised crime and anything else deemed immoral.
Edward, who doubles as the show creator, writer, director and executive producer, says that it was a labour of love putting it together and a big part of him is invested in the show, thanks to his dad Ed Burns Sr’s job as a cop. “A lot of the stuff you’ll see, it’s my memories of what it was like to grow up in a cop house,” he says.
