Season 1 Vuzu AMP (*103) 20:00 Musicals are a favourite career choice for Santino Fontana. He’s on TV screens as grouchy bartender Greg Serrano in the musical comedy Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2015-current), but did you know that he also voiced Prince Hans in 2013 animated movie Frozen? And he loved it – the 34-year-old says that “I recorded my Frozen voiceovers in five sessions! It was just an amazing experience”.

As a kid, Santino entertained his 1

family with Thanksgiving plays in the garage. “The one year, I played the role of a turkey and made a costume from shopping bags and once I was a gingerbread man and made a costume out of brown paper bags,” he laughs.

He was also a sportstar at school 2

but his baseball career was cut short thanks to a serious forearm injury – look closely on the show and you’ll see the scar along his forearm.

And that wasn’t Santino’s only 3

injury – he admits to being accident prone. He got a concussion in the middle of stage play A View From The Bridge in 2010 when he hit his head on a table. It was so bad that he had to pull out of the production.

In 2015, he married his stage act4

ress sweetheart Jessica Hershberg – they met in 2013 while working on a theatre production of Cinderella.

Besides being actors, the couple 5

have something else in common: they believe in ghosts. “One night our house fire alarm went off and then it just stopped. We were convinced that it was a ghost trying to warn us about something,” Santino says.

He’s a big supporter of research 6

into Alzheimer’s and cancer. “My gran had Alzheimer’s and my parents both had cancer. At the same time too. They’re both fine now,” he reveals.
