Blinded by love

Hillside doctor Alexa (Carina Nel) has put her short romance with Stasie Ses boss Marko (Francois Lensley) behind her after he realised on Thursday 20 October that he’s still in love with jailed Emma (Bertha le Roux). Alexa’s got a new love interest though, but “there’s something about Justin (Dann-Jacques Mouton) that she is blissfully unaware of,” says Carina.
KISS ME
Justin’s also got feelings for Alexa but on Wednesday 26 October he reveals a secret to his half-brother Vince (Jacques Blignaut). “Justin explains that his fiancée is in a coma,” says Dann. Vince suggests that Justin tells Alexa, but before he can, his emotions get the better of him on Thursday 27 October and he asks her on a date. They kiss and Carina says that “it leaves her on cloud 9! She has butterflies. There is no denying their chemistry; something she didn’t quite get with Marko.”
COLD-SHOULDER SHOCK
The next morning, on Friday 28 October, Alexa tries to get hold of Justin but he’s vanished. He’s not at his office at Bruynwaves and “he’s not answering Justin wants to tell the truth but he can’t right now. her messages or calls,” says Carina. He has decided that it’s easier to run away than explain things, says Dann. “His kiss with Alexa messed with his head. It woke up feelings and now he has his fiancée in the back on his mind.”
I WAS WRONG
By Wednesday 2 November, Justin’s had time to think and sees the error of his ways. He can’t ignore Alexa forever and asks her sister Amorey (Kristen Raath) on how to apologise. “She tells Justin to fill Alexa’s clinic office with balloons and flowers and letters,” Dann reveals. And that does the trick – “Alexa can’t believe her eyes on later on Wednesday 2 November when she walks into her office,” Carina says. But while they kiss and make up on Friday 4 November, Dann hints that Justin still isn’t ready to tell Alexa his secret. “He wants to be honest, but he’s scared of her reaction. As this stage, it looks like his fiancée won’t come out of the coma anytime soon, so he’s going to enjoy his new love with Alexa.”
