How was your first day on set? I started in August and my first scenes were with Thapelo Mokoena (Jakes), who’s been really kind. I was nervous but the whole crew and cast were supportive and warm and welcoming. Why is Pam teaming up with gangster Denton (Terence Bridgett)? My feeling is that Pam knows where her bread is buttered. She is an opportunist and she and Denton have history. Her loyalty is unfailing. I don’t know if it’s because there is honour among thieves (there is nothing honourable about either of them) but they have a sort of an unholy attachment. The type that is wrought from expedience, opportunism and they are as unscrupulous as each other. And do you think that Pam’s worried about getting Esme (Carina Rous) fired by revealing her secret to Busi (Jo-Anne Reyneke) on Thursday 27 October? Pam is a sociopath. She has no real conscience. When the time comes, she’ll cover her tracks or make a plan. She’ll lie, cheat and always emerge unscathed, but at someone else’s expense. She’s a shark that keeps moving. And if Esme ever finds out that it was her, Pam will manipulate the situation to her benefit. She always seems to find a way out of tight spots. NB! See more on p23
