Trouble’s brewing with vengeful Tyson’s (Shona Ferguson) return this month to find out more about his sister Katlego’s (Kgomotso Christopher) murder in April 2016. Tyson approaches money-hungry Gabriel (Aubrey Poo) on Wednesday 16 November about a drilling project that Tyson’s planned for Mineshaft 8 and Aubrey says that “Gabriel’s an opportunist. He’s ready to use his team to dig in Mineshaft 8 as Tyson has promised him money and chance of finding gold”.
But Gabriel’s in for a shock on Friday 18 November when his team call him to look at what they’ve found: bones! “The news shocks Gabriel because he can’t understand what human bones would be doing in the mineshaft, so he calls the police and Tyson to share the news,” Aubrey explains. While the cops investigate on Monday 21 November, Tyson’s celebrating because he now has proof that his evil businessman brotherin-law Lincoln (Lindani Nkosi) dumped Kat’s bones in Mineshaft 8. “It takes a while for Gabriel to understand what is going on when Tyson doesn’t seem upset that the digging has come to a halt. But then Gabriel realises that he has been doing Tyson’s dirty work and he confronts Tyson [on Tuesday 22 November],” says Aubrey.
Tyson isn’t fazed by Gabriel’s threats and continues his wait for DNA tests to confirm that the remains are those of Katlego. At the same time, Gabriel doesn’t know whose bones have been found and he tries to pry info from Lincoln’s daughter and his fling Nikiwe (Linda Sokhulu). “He’s sneaky and tries to worm his way into the Sibeko house and use their power and money. If he finds out what really happened to Katlego, he’d blackmail the entire family and take all of their money!” teases Aubrey. NB! See more on p25
