Sthoko ignores her family and goes back to her abusive hubby.

Sthoko (Innocent Sadiki) thought that moving back with her family in Turfloop after leaving her abusive, rich husband Dennis (Clevy Sekgala) in early Jan 2016 would help her get back on her feet, but now “she thinks that leaving Dennis was a mistake. She blames herself for her failed marriage,” says Innocent. “She met Dennis when she was young and feels that she never grew up enough in the marriage for it to work.” Sthoko takes out her frustrations on her siblings Kwaito and Pretty (Clement Moasa and Lerato Marabe) on Thursday 30 March and they want to make her pay. Kwaito gets ammo on Tuesday 4 April when he overhears Sthoko making plans on the phone to meet up with Dennis and immediately tells their mom MaNtuli (Dieketseng Mnisi) in the hopes of causing trouble.
LET HIM GO
The Seakamela family aren’t ready to forgive Dennis for the damage he did to Sthoko and on Wednesday 5 April, they try to talk her into cutting all ties with him. “But no one – not even her family – know Sthoko as well as Dennis,” explains Innocent. Because of this, Dennis knows exactly how to worm his way back into her heart and on Thursday 6 April he invites her to church with him. “He also tricks her into thinking that he cares about her by giving her money… her other weakness,” Innocent says. It seems to be working because she agrees to a date with Dennis on Friday 7 April.
LOVE IS BLIND
Sthoko keeps the date secret from the family, especially from her mother and from Clement (Vusi Leremi), her son with Dennis. “MaNtuli doesn’t want to see her daughter humiliated and hurt again. And Sthoko knows that,” reveals Innocent. But Dennis’s powers of persuasion are strong and on Monday 10 April, Dennis tells Sthoko that they should get back together. “He doesn’t care what his mother-in-law thinks. He wants what’s his back,” Innocent adds.
Clement finds out about his parents’ possible reunion later that day and “he is upset because he knows how ruthless his dad can be, especially towards his mom. Like MaNtuli, he doesn’t want to see her in that situation ever again. He’s also not keen on the idea of moving back in with them.” On Tuesday 11 April, Clement tells his mom in no uncertain terms that he’s not going back to live with Dennis and suddenly Sthoko finds herself having to choose between her ex and her son, who’s “the most important thing in her life”, Innocent hints.
