Kendra On Top
Season 4 Vuzu (*116) 22:00 & 22:30 Reality
Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett has come a long way since being one of Playboy boss Hugh Hefner’s three girlfriends on reality show The Girls Next Door (20052010). She used it as a stepping stone to bigger things, like reality shows Dancing With The Stars (2005-current) in 2011, Kendra (2009-2011) and the UK version of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here (2002-current) in 2014. For Kendra On Top (2012-current), the 31-year-old is proving that she’s not just a pretty face – she’s a businesswoman on the move…
Kendra says that her life fell apart 1
when her businessman dad Eric divorced her ex-cheerleader mom Pattie when Kendra was eight. In 2010 autobiography Sliding Into Home (a reference to her love for sport), Kendra revealed that she was a stripper in her teens and was addicted to cocaine by 14.
She overdosed a year later and 2
gave up drugs “on the spot” when she woke up in a mental hospital, where she was treated for cutting [a person cuts themselves as a coping mechanism].
Kendra moved into the Playboy 3
mansion in 2004 after Hugh saw her modelling at his party but the selfconfessed wild girl “hated” the 21:00 curfew that was never seen on The Girlfriends, adding, “I also didn’t know that sleeping with him was a prerequisite.”
She was in a car crash in 2013 and 4
had a minor haemorrhagic stroke. While not fatal, it can lead to migraines and loss of bladder control.
As for her success, Kendra’s made 5
$6 million (R78 million) from book sales, fitness DVDs and other shows.
She has two kids with her ex-pro 6
athlete hubby Hank Baskett – son Hank IV (7) and daughter Alijah (2). “They’re our world,” she says.
