Detectives Miller and Hardy are on the case for the final season of Broadchurch.
No matter how small or insignificant it may seem, everything is connected one way or another. And that’s exactly what is being discovered in the third and final season of British crime series Broadchurch (2013-2017). Detectives Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller (David Tennant and Olivia Colman) will be hauling out their magnifying glasses as they investigate the sexual assault of Trish Winterman (Julie Hesmondhalgh, Hayley Cropper from 1998 to 2014 on long-running British soapie Coronation Street 1960- current).
ALL ABOUT THE MYSTERY
Season 2 (2015) dug into Hardy’s back- ground and explored the demons that are still haunting him. But according to Arthur Darvill, who plays Reverend Paul Coates in the fictional village of Broadchurch, “This third season will go back to the show’s roots. It is going to be raw and heavy, like in the first season, where the action and drama were all about tracking down the suspect.” And it’s an extremely dangerous suspect – Trish reports her rape in episode 1 (18 April) and Hardy and Miller realise that they are hunting a serial rapist. “We kept this season under wraps,” says series star David. “People leave scripts lying around and we don’t want any leaks. We watermark everything and everything is password protected.” If you want to know if the cops catch their man, you’ll have to investigate with them one last time.
It’s back to basics for Detectives Miller (left) and Hardy.
