To new beginnings
Emkay and Kwaito put their friendship on the line for Rachel’s new roommate Glenda, and Turfloop residents are taken by surprise with news of Leeto and Mokgadi’s marriage woes. Cindy is spitting venom when her employee Rachel disrespects her in front of the other staff, and Turfloop High’s students rally around Leshole and help him ahead of the annual spelling bee – everyone except Pretty, who’s still jealous that he was chosen ahead of her. Fanie and Rachel blackmail Lehasa to expose his troubled past as part of their plan to grab his money, and Katlego’s culinary school friend Hazel isn’t as innocent as she seems – she’s out to destroy his relationship with Candice by accusing Kat’s girlfriend of trying to poison her.
Kat and Candice both take the fall in Hazel’s poison plan and their families are ready to disown them. Rachel’s blackmail scheme against Lehasa takes a surprising turn when the cops come knocking at her door, and Leeto tells his parents Meikie and John that he’s helping his wife Mokgadi search for the son she gave up for adoption as a teen mom. Rachel faces the music in court and her friends turn the backs on her, and Leshole pleads with BigBoy to be a better father. Principal Thobakgale’s enthusiasm to uphold the high school’s high matric standards overwhelms the students, while the Kunutus fear that Rachel is losing control of her life. Leshole develops a bond with his tutor Manaka (Skhumbuzo Mbatha) but his dad BigBoy is jealous of their newfound friendship. John warns his wife to keep her nose out of their son Leeto’s marriage, and Sonti is thrilled when her crush and exbusiness partner Lehasa reaches out to her for help. Elsewhere, Dennis (Clevy Sekgala) talks a hesitant Clement into going to initiation school, and Pretty is jealous of Eunice (Oratile Maitisa) and Nimza’s new romance.
