Ed’s letter
The show that everyone’s been talking about is here. Sci-fi series American Gods (see p32) is meant to be as big a hit and conversation starter as Game Of Thrones. I’ve had a glimpse of the first episode and I can tell you that it’s bloody, captivating and Ian McShane as Mr Wednesday had me spellbound with every expression on his wrinkled face. Please take note: this show is going to impact the Monday M-Net lineup. It will be broadcast at 22:00 as it is definitely not a kid-friendly show, but since M-Net usually runs in half-hour intervals, some shows are bound to change to accommodate the hourly timeslot. M-Net however couldn’t tell us what 30-min show would be squeezed in before or after American Gods.
