Kingpins, hidden identities and a star-studded cast bring an iconic movie to the smallscreen in drama iNumber Number.
If you can’t beat them, join them. That’s the plan in crime-drama series iNumber Number (2017current), based on the 2014 movie of the same name. In the series, good-guy cop Chilli (Sdumo Mtshali) goes on an undercover mission to bring down a criminal gang. He has to learn the tricks and the trades of their shady dealings before he puts them behind bars, but “he sees the good in everyone and it gets difficult for Chilli drop the mission,” says Sdumo. While the spin-off show is adapted from the original movie, it revisits the brotherly bond that Chilli has with his cop partner Shoes (Presley Chweneyagae), who wants him to drop the mission. “The storylines don’t pick up where they left off in the movie. It’s a different cast and a totally new game,” adds Sdumo.
