American Gods has risqué content, so why does it air earlier than shows like Lucifer, which has not-so risqué scenes? – JONATHAN, VIA SMS There is method to the madness. “Several factors play a role when scheduling decisions are made,” explains Lani Lombard, head of publicity for M-Net. “Even though M-Net is reserving edgier shows for later in the evening, it won’t always mean that the age restriction escalates from show to show as the evening progresses. While Lucifer is already in the second season, American Gods is a brand-new highly acclaimed show and we aim to bring our viewers the best and freshest content in latenight prime-time slots.”
