Ed’s letter
So many things have happened in the last week and are coming up this issue that I feel as though I could write my own soap script – if I’m allowed to bring in a unicorn like Erlich in Silicon Valley (p47). Since it’s a slightly different format, I firstly want to say when we spoke to Oubaas, or rather Pierre van Pletzen from 7de Laan (see p24), we got such candid answers that I felt it only fair to publish it in his own words. And I felt that a lot has been said between the lines – not to accuse 7de Laan – but there is maybe a lesson for everyone involved to learn here.
Secondly, the Uzalo story of GC (p12) hit me hard. Having gay friends and going through the process of coming out the closet with some of them, I thought this was brilliantly written and executed! But my best “oh wow” story was the Lotto sidebar (p43) and what goes in-to it. No wonder I never win! At least there is an abundance of good TV!
