Is Tinseltown creativity running so dry that they feel the need to revive yet another old show? That’s the outcry from reality fans in the US after gameshow Deal Or No Deal (20052009) was given a reboot order late in March. Howie Mandel is set to return as the show’s host and will direct contestant to ask a stage full of beautiful women to open their briefcases and make them a cash offer. Entertainer Howie credits the original version as the turning point in his career but don’t expect to see Meghan Markle back with a briefcase – she’s wrapped her role on Suits (2011-current; see p45) before marrying Prince Harry in May.
