I am watching: Burden Of Truth, seasons 1 and 2 on Showmax (2018-2019). There’s the third season (2020) that we’re waiting to be broadcast. My take on this show: you are capable of doing anything you set your mind to do. There’s nothing wrong with creating your own path and following it, especially if you’re passionate. Joanna Hanley (Kristin Kreuk) has been living in this bubble that her father David Hanley (Alex Carter) created and she breaks away from it and finds the world to be harsh. She cements herself outside her father’s law company to do what she believes is right. She is a force to be reckoned with!

My favourite moment so far: growing up, Joanna was told how her mom didn’t really take care of her. In season 1 episode 9 she has no choice but to visit her mom and they forge a relationship. It was a beautiful reunion.

Why I am watching it now: I think I should’ve been a doctor or a lawyer. I think I was in my past life. So I’m reliving that in some of the court scenes. Joanna is just as cute as I am, lols!

Familiar faces: you’ll recognize Kristin Kreuk from Smallville (2001-2011) as Lana. David is played by Alex Carter is from Without A Trace (2007). And Billy is played by Peter Mooney (Nick Collins in 2012 in Rookie Blue, 2010-2015). NB! See p8.
