Can­ter­bury as­sets to go un­der ham­mer

CLARE­MART Auc­tion Group has been in­structed to sell the pre­vi­ous head of­fice and ware­house of Can­ter­bury South Africa by auc­tion.

Ac­cord­ing to CEO Jonathan Smiedt, his group re­ceived in­struc­tion from C P van Zyl of Pro­gres­sive Ad­min­is­tra­tion (Cape), the joint pro­vi­sional liq­uida­tor in the mat­ter of Lake­side City Trad­ing 1 3 7 , t h e h o l d i n g c o mp a n y which owned the Can­ter­bury premises in Cape Town.

On auc­tion is 35 Brick­field Road in Wood­stock, a 5 800m² ware­house and fac­tory area un­der a vaulted roof, with airex­trac­tion and staff fa­cil­i­ties.

The prop­erty in­cludes 1 200m² of A-grade of­fice space, which in­cludes a board­room. Am­ple off-street park­ing and roller ac­cess to two points is pro­vided.

Mov­able as­sets, which in­clude ve­hi­cles, fac­tory equip- ment and fur­ni­ture, will be sold sep­a­rately on the same day.

The in­vest­ment prop­erty and mov­ables will be auc­tioned on site on Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 2, at noon.

The prop­erty can be viewed on Thurs­day and on Wed­nes­day, Au­gust 26, be­tween noon and 3pm.
