Royal thieves dumb and dumber

LON­DON: Two men who stole a cam­era mem­ory stick con­tain­ing hol­i­day pic­tures of Prince William and Kate Mid­dle­ton were de­scribed as “dumb and dumber” in court on Thurs­day over an at­tempt to sell them for £50 000 (R651 434).

Char­lie Ewins, 26, and Leon Se­say, 25, of­fered the “per­sonal” im­ages to a na­tional news­pa­per, claim­ing they found the stick in a gut­ter af­ter a car be­long­ing to Mid­dle­ton’s sis­ter, Pippa, was bro­ken into.

The pic­tures ap­par­ently showed Prince William wear­ing a woman’s hat and his girl­friend do­ing yoga in a bikini on a Mid­dle­ton fam­ily hol­i­day to the Caribbean.

The judge said the thieves had com­mit­ted “theft by find­ing”. – Daily Mail
