Panel debates at Master Builders SA congress
THE 2009 Master Builder SA Congress will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Joburg from September 27 to 30 and will be a platform for industry-related panel discussions.
Dr Rodney Milford, of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB); Cas Coovadia, managing director of the Banking Association; Fred Wagenar, technical manager of the National Home Builders Registration Council; Lillibeth Moolman, chair of the SA National Consumer Union; and Dr Thandi Ndlovu, chair of SA Women in Construction (SAWiC), will discuss consumer protection and quality assurance.
A panel debate on occupational health and safety will be taken up by Dr Bill Pomfret, managing consultant of Safety Projects in Ottawa, Canada; Thobile Lamati, chief inspector at the Department of Labour; Raynard Looch of Klaas Looch Associates; and Michael Kruger ,of SHE Learning Systems.
In addition, political analyst and journalist Justice Malala and Professor Theo Haupt, of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, will join the list of speakers at the congress.
