Fake bomb used as test for po­lice

IS­LAM­ABAD: Some West­ern diplo­mats are at­tach­ing dummy bombs to their ve­hi­cles to test the alert­ness of Pak­istan po­lice amid de­te­ri­o­rat­ing se­cu­rity caused by sui­cide at­tacks, a me­dia re­port said.

The in­te­rior min­istry said an “uniden­ti­fied ob­ject” found re­cently in the ve­hi­cle of Dan­ish em­bassy se­cu­rity ad­vi­sor Chris John turned out to be a fake bomb.

John said the fake bomb was aimed at test­ing po­lice alert­ness af­ter a pre­vi­ous at­tack on the em­bassy.
