TWO PLOTS, one on Pezula Golf Estate in Knysna and one in Pearl Valley, Paarl will be sold by public auction (unless sold prior).

These auctions will both take place on Tuesday, November 24 at 11am in A&H Prestige’s boardroom, 17 Regent Road, Sea Point. Telephonic bids are welcome.

Pezula Private Estate, Knysna: The 4 000m 2 plot (stand E75) was bought in 2004 for R2.3 million with similar size plots starting from around R3.2m.

Nelson Mandela has stayed there and some international football teams are vying to make it their exclusive base camp for the FIFA 2010 World Cup. Pezula, was recently heralded as the best property in the world, at the CNBC International Property Awards.

Located on the Easter n Head of Knysna on the Garden Route, a 40-minute flight from Cape Town, it consists of 612ha and has nearly 4km of coastline. It is bordered by the Noetzie beach and Sinclair Nature Reserve and has views of the Indian Ocean and the forests and fynbos.

It is close to the Pezula Championship Course and Pezula Resort Hotel and Spa, and home owners have access to all the facilities and amenities.

Pearl Valley Golf Estate: The 1 350m plot sits on the 9th Fairway opposite the clubhouse and is regarded as a prime location on the estate. With smaller plots (and there are only eight available in this position) selling for around R4m upwards, the bidding on this plot will start at R2.5m.

Nestled in the heart of the Cape Winelands, Pearl Valley is recognised internationally as a prestigious destination.

The Jack Nicklaus-designed, 170ha championship golf course (par 72) has the Drakenstein Mountains as its backdrop.

Officially opened in November 2003, Pearl Valley Golf Estates was named best golf course of the year in 2005 and won a PMR Diamond Arrow award in 2008, achieving the highest rating of any golf course in the Western Cape.

In 2007, it announced a three-year deal to host the South African Open Championship, one of the oldest Opens in world golf.
