ALTERNATIVE: The VBC-3000 machine is an alternative to reconditioning your oil. THE oil in your transformers deteriorates with t i me. I t needs t o be replaced or reused, otherwise it will allow an internal short circuit, causing an explosion.

To replace the oil completely often costs up to R100 000 and the transformer will be out of commission for two or three days.

The green alternative is to recondition the oil with our VBC-3000 machine. This machine, on a double-axle trailer which can be towed with a standard one-ton bakkie, is parked next to the transformer. Two flexible hoses are coupled to the transformer and internal pumps circulate the oil through the VBC-3000 continuously, while the transformer is on line, so there is no down time.

The oil is polished, filtered, de-gassed and dried to better-than-new specification.

This needs to be done at least once in five years to avoid blow-ups. The machine is available on a rental or outright purchase.
