Weekend Argus (Saturday Edition) - - PROPERTY -

A PROPOSED estate in Durbanville will fulfil the need for a secure lifestyle and golfing development in the northern suburbs, says developer Johan Botha.

“The proposed 290ha Bella Riva Lifestyle and Golf Estate will have many family-orientated activities and will also address the need for other more affordable housing, retirement, medical, leisure and commercial facilities,” he said.

“The development is designed to complement local land use character and current development trends. As responsible developers we have thoroughly considered the current debate around the merits of densification within the urban edge and the appropriate location of the proposed estate so as not to compromise the valuable agricultural land.

“Bella Riva Lifestyle and Golf Estate proposes to make maximum use of mostly non-arable land, recycled water and green technology.”

The proposed development is situated to the north-east of Durbanville – what is known as the northern growth area close to Fisantekraal. It comprises 3 000 opportunities in a sustainable development design. The developments will consist of various types of dwellings from townhouse apartments to luxury free-standing architect-designed houses in a modern farmstead style.

Prices will range from R390 000 to R 1 . 7 mi l l i o n . T h e d e ve l o p me n t ma k e s p r o v i s i o n f o r s p o r t i n g , schooling and recreational facilities and development infrastructure.
