Top brands move to the Boulevard office park
TOP LOCAL and international companies have either moved or are in the process of moving to the Boulevard office park, with tenants taking up more than 26 000m of AAA grade space in this landmark development.
Although much of the office space in the seven blocks has already been accounted for, there is still prime space available for tenants looking for quality offices, says Dave Russell, a director of Baker Street Properties.

Top i nter nati onal brands such as Zurich Reinsurance and Swiss Re, as well as major local companies Medscheme and Alexander Forbes, have together signed leases for 20 000m of the available space. Other tenants include advertising/marketing companies Quirk e Ma r k e t i n g , T h e Te a mwo r k s , Webafrica, and Bester Burke, and CN Furniture which is part of the Bidvest Group, has taken prime showroom space facing Easter n Boulevard. It is interesting to see how the office park appeals to financ i a l a nd c r e at ive t e nants, ” s ays Russell.
Baker Street Properties was first to move into their premises in June this year. Subsequently other tenants and owner/occupiers have taken occupation.
The Boulevard is located on the Eastern Boulevard and is the largest CBD fringe office complex in Cape Town and one of the largest dedicated office parks in South Africa. The development has a podium level, under which there are three basements providing almost 1 900 parking bays for tenants and visitors, says Russell.
“The Boulevard is an architectural gem. The floors in each of the blocks have a slab-to-slab height of 4m with a ceiling height of 3.2m. This, combined with floor-to-ceiling height windows complemented by granite finishes and great views creates impressive office space in a secure office park.”
