Security features at the 5.2ha estate include boundary walls and a guarded entrance. A tarred road links the village to surrounding towns with all amenities.

Although there are no age restrictions for buyers, residents must be 50 years plus.

“Many tourists travel through Keimoes en route to the spectacular Augrabies Falls National Park, to see the yearly flower splendour of Namaqualand, the arid beauty of the Richtersveld National Park and West Coast. Keimoes forms part of the Kai!Garib Municipality with a population of 55 501, which also includes the towns of Kakamas and Kenhardt,” Liebenberg says.

The closest town is Upington, on the banks of the Orange River.

Since its establishment in 1870, the town has expanded rapidly and is now the commercial, agricultural and educational centre of the Gordonia district.

T he town has a newly built provincial hospital, and a private hospital with extensive medical and health care services.

Upington is linked to all major cities in South Africa by air, rail and road – 836km from Johannesburg, 985km from Pretoria, 834km from Cape Town and 628km from Bloemfontein.
