I want to play at the highest level I can, says Palace teen

Weekend Argus (Saturday Edition) - - FOOTBALL -

HOT PROPERTY Victor Moses admits he can’t wait for his crack at the big time as his inevitable Crystal Palace exit draws closer.

The England Under-19 international is expected to leave Selhurst Park in the next few days as Palace reluctantly look to sell the forward to help ease their money worries.

Moses’ stock rose further over last weekend after he scored the winner in Palace’s 10 win at Plymouth and then collected the award for Championship Young Player of the Month for December.

Manchester City remain favourites to sign the highly-rated whizzkid – but Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid have also expressed an interest.

But the 19-year-old is refusing to let the increased speculation over his future ruin his form – though he admits he craves a move to a bigger club.

Moses said: “When I saw the Barcelona thing – Barcelona? All the way in Spain? But I just looked at it and thought to myself, they’re a big club. Whatever happens. I definitely want to play at the top.

“I just want to play at the highest level I can. The higher you play the more experience you get. If there is any chance for me to play at the highest level there is no point in waiting, so I will go and grab it.

“Wherever I am I just want to keep on playing football and doing my best. I want to score goals and create goals for my teammates.”– The Daily Mail

IN DEMAND: Victor Moses celebrates his goal against Reading at the Madejski Stadium in December. “I want to score goals,” he says.
