Rob­bery sus­pects in court

TWO MEN and three boys ap­peared in the Bloemfontein Re­gional Court yes­ter­day af­ter a Ja­panese pho­tog­ra­pher in the city was robbed of his equip­ment ear­lier this week.

Re­gional Mag­is­trate Jan Greyven­stein post­poned the mat­ter against the three boys and Almo Julius, 23, to Mon­day for their lawyer to get fur­ther in­struc­tions and pre­pare a plea.

The four face a charge of rob­bery and would stay in cus­tody. The three boys, all 17 years old, would be kept at a lo­cal youth cen­tre.

A com­mu­ni­ca­tions of­fi­cial at the Free State govern­ment, Bren­don Jansen, 33, ap­peared in the same court on a sep­a­rate charge of re­ceiv­ing sus­pected stolen goods.

He was granted bail of R1 000 and his case was also post­poned to Mon­day. – Sapa
