Robbery suspects in court
TWO MEN and three boys appeared in the Bloemfontein Regional Court yesterday after a Japanese photographer in the city was robbed of his equipment earlier this week.
Regional Magistrate Jan Greyvenstein postponed the matter against the three boys and Almo Julius, 23, to Monday for their lawyer to get further instructions and prepare a plea.
The four face a charge of robbery and would stay in custody. The three boys, all 17 years old, would be kept at a local youth centre.
A communications official at the Free State government, Brendon Jansen, 33, appeared in the same court on a separate charge of receiving suspected stolen goods.
He was granted bail of R1 000 and his case was also postponed to Monday. – Sapa
