These are issues which might have irked his former employers, CSA, but the organisation’s CEO Gerald Majola, has not commented on it.
In a statement yesterday Majola said: “Herschelle represented our country for 14 years with distinction and I don’t think any cricket lover will ever forget the magnificent innings he played in the famous 438 game against Australia.” He added that “because of the sensitivity of the matter as well as the confidentiality agreements”, there would be no further comment.
