Weekend Argus (Saturday Edition) - - AUCTIONS -

A MAGNIFICENT home on “millionaire’s mile” in Camps Bay will be sold on site in mid-December in an urgent insolvency auction, according to Samantha James of Michael James Organisation.

The property is well designed and well suited to entertaining, she says.

In addition to four bedrooms and four bathrooms, the house has three lounge/living areas that open onto a timber wraparound balcony and deck, maximising the spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and Signal Hill.

The kitchen is well appointed, with oak cupboards – including a walk-in grocery cupboard – and granite surfaces.

The home also features four Jetmasterstyle fireplaces, a training swimming pool, and beautifully landscaped gardens.

In addition, ample parking and garaging for three vehicles has been provided, and the property is well secured, James says.

She adds that, as properties on the Atlantic seaboard seldom come under the hammer, the auction will provide “an opportunity to acquire a desirable home in an area that many regard as a playground for the rich and famous, and where properties still realise the maximum value”.

Situated at 32 Medburn Road, Camps Bay, the property can be previewed on Sunday, December 5, from 2pm to 4pm, and will be auctioned on Wednesday, December 15, at 11.15am, she says.

A 10 percent deposit plus auctioneer’s commission will be required on the fall of the hammer, and the balance on transfer.
