Dwarskers­bos beach re­sort of­fers sen­sa­tional pri­vate sun­sets

A PRI­VATE beach­front re­sort, in­clud­ing a 1.2km stretch of pri­vate beach, in Dwarskers­bos on the West Coast, will fall un­der the Auc­tion Al­liance gavel in Fe­bru­ary.

The prop­erty, an ex­clu­sive week­end or hol­i­day des­ti­na­tion, is one-and-a-half hours’ drive from Cape Town, ac­cord­ing to the auc­tion com­pany’s Al­bie Loub­ser.

Cov­er­ing 190 hectares, the prop­erty has a Re­sort II zon­ing, with ap­proval for 10 free­hold stands, on which fish­er­men’s cot­tages may be built ac­cord­ing to ap­proved build­ing guide­lines, Loub­ser says. He adds that it is equipped with three-phase elec­tric­ity and has a per­ma­nent wa­ter source.

In ad­di­tion, la­pas over­look the re­sort’s own stretch of un­spoiled, pri­vate beach­front, which forms part of the sur­round­ing greater es­tu­ary and na­ture re­serve area, he says.

The en­tire re­sort de­velop- ment will be sold as a sin­gle op­por t unity or syn­di­ca­tion be­tween five in­vestors, each own­ing two free­hold stands and shar­ing in the re­main­ing com­mu­nal land, Loub­ser adds.
