Table Mountain the height of holiday fun
FATHER Christmas is going to be very busy over the next few days. He’s heading up Table Mountain with a sack full of prezzies for kids – and if you’re going up the mountain, you might see him.
Father Christmas will be on the mountain on Friday and on Christmas Day.
But if you can’t get up there on those two days, don’t worry – there’s lots of fun for kids on the summit until January 16, on the 12 Apostles Terrace, which has been devoted to kids’ activities and will be open from 9am until 4pm.
There will be puppet shows, craft workshops and magic shows. Kids will also lear n about nature while exploring the contour paths with Dale the Dassie, and there will be prizes.
At this time of year, you can take the half-price Sunset Special up the mountain after 6pm. Kids under 18 pay R45 and adults R90. This special is every day until the end of February and on New Year’s Eve (last car up at 11pm and last car down at 1am).
Tickets can only be bought at the Cableway’s ticket office from 6pm. For information call 021 424 8181 or visit www.tablemountain.net.
