The Snowman is a story that will melt your heart

Weekend Argus (Saturday Edition) - - JELLYBEAN JOURNAL - JBJ REPORTER

YOU’LL find a lot of the fun and magic of Christmas in The Snowman, a film based on Raymond Briggs’s classic story.

One snowy Christmas Eve, a little boy builds a snowman. He wakes at midnight, and is astonished to see that his snowman is alive. He slips downstairs silently and the two, boy and snowman, play with the Christmas tree decorations, toys, and even Dad’s clothes, before venturing outside to take a thrilling ride through the woodland on a motorbike.

After cooling off in the family’s chest freezer, the Snowman takes the boy on an adventure he will never forget as they fly through the skies to the North Pole, to the wonderful music We’ re Walking in the Air by Howard Blake.

At the North Pole, the two join other snowmen for a party and meet Father Christmas and his reindeer.

The adventure ends when the little boy wakes up to find that his friend has melted in the morning sunshine. Was it all a dream?
