School outing ducks the fun
LONDON: A head mistress was under fire for letting a class of 10-yearolds go on an outing to see ducks being shot.
Children from a Cambridgeshire school saw the birds shot and scooped up by gun dogs.
Parent Ray Poolman, 49, said his daughter came home “distraught”. A letter to parents mentioned the outing but said nothing about shooting.
Headmistress Shirley Stapleton said it was an “annual trip” which helps pupils make “informed decisions” about country pursuits. – Daily Mail
